From typical post war cottage to fully sustainable, contemporary home. This is our journey…
Project Zero is the journey of a young family and a small construction business in their attempt to renovate a classic post-war house into a fully sustainable and functional home, and importantly, do their small part for the environment.
Armed with nothing but enthusiasm and the support of a passionate team, including BVN Donavan Hill, SEED (Environmental Engineer), RPD and Steven Clegg, we began this journey back in 2012 and only now in January 2014 are we finally breaking ground.
With the project in its infancy, we have solved so few of the many challenges we face to complete it, but our strong belief in an organic lifestyle and faith in our team’s ideas and considerations drives us on. Ultimately, as both the builder and the end user, we are heavily invested in what we are creating. Our objective is to transform an old post-war cottage into a home that generates more power than it uses.
We invite you to come along for the ride and stop by our blog for all the highs and lows along the way.
